We are now into the second trimester! This week's big developments: Our baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his/her thumb. Thanks to brain impulses, his or her facial muscles are getting a workout as its tiny features form one expression after another. Our baby can grasp too.
In other news: Our baby is stretching out. From head to bottom, he or she measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and weighs 1 1/2 ounces. For those of you not around to see it, I an starting to have a little bit of a belly.
