Our baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Our baby weighs about 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and is around 5 inches long from head to bottom. Our baby is now the size of your hand spread open wide.
I still have not felt the baby move. They say our baby's hearing has become more finely tuned, so he or she may respond to loud noises and I may feel movement at the sound of large trucks passing or a slamming door. Benji and I went to the Stone Temple Pilot Concert on Friday (very loud noise) and I still don't think I felt anything. Maybe this week!

I wasn't sure I felt Ethan until 20 or 21 weeks. I just wanted to be sure before I claimed it. I'm sure you've felt it and just didn't know it. This time I knew what to expect and I felt him at like 17 or 18 weeks. I think I already told you this. I blame it on the sleep deprivation....
