So the last few days have been crazy. Saturday morning after many tests (them pricking her poor hands and feet over and over again) they decided that Ella's blood sugar levels were too low. Because of this we had to put her in the NICU. She is on an I.V. up on the floor above us and we have made many trips upstairs to be with her. Yesterday we would just go up and look at her with a bunch of wires on her monitoring EVERYTHING!!!! We did finally get to hold her last night and both of us did over a few hour period. She had to have a few other test but those have all come back with good results.
So now we go upstairs for regular feedings and to hold our dear little baby. We are hoping that they will start taking her off of the glucose drip to see if she can hold her own levels. That is why she is there, so as soon as she can keep them perfect on her own we can take her home. We really hate that we have to leave her tonight but we both agree a night in our own bed will be nice, plus it won't be for very long.
