Ella Grace

For the past two months it has felt like Ella morphed into a little girl, she is no longer my little baby.  Well, I know she will always be MY little baby but she is just growing up so fast.  Make it stop! Every morning on our way to The Garden of Learning ("school" as Ella calls it) she yells out as she sees the garbage man, a school bus, a sugar beet truck, or a UPS (BSU) truck.  She gets so excited!  "Look Mom a school bus with kids in it, they are going to school, the school bus picked them up and is taking them to school."  She is so excited every time she sees one of these vehicles you cannot help but share in the excitement with her. As I drive I just know I am going to blink my eyes and she is going to be 16 begging for a car so she does not have to take the school bus to school.
I am loving this age and stage and I find myself wanting to hold on to every moment of it....yes even the tantrums...well I could live without half of them.

Funny/cute things Ella says:
  • "Ring Bell" for door bell
  • "Puter" for computer
  • "Trereyerios" for Cherios
  • "Dare" for there
  • "I want to go with us" for I want to go with you
  • "Debroom" for bedroom
  • "Mommy turn up the lights." This means she does not want it to get dark out.
  • "I want a cup form this cupboard not that one." This means she wants a sippy cup and not a "real cup."
I have to document these now because it is so cute and as quick as it came it is replaced with the correct pronunciation.
Ella's loves:
  • The moon, we have to find it in the sky every morning and say "hi" to it.
  • School buses and garbage trucks.
  • Swings, she would spend all day on one.
  • Her "Pink Baby," she spends most of her free time caring for her.
  • Elmo, I have no idea how this came to be. But on the other side, she HATES Abby and her Flying Fairy School. Sesame Street is the only real show she has every watched. She asks us to get a "cozy blanket" and cuddle on the couch and watch Elmo. Not so funny when it is 5:40 AM!
  • Books
  • Cooper, she always needs to know where he is and she loves to take care of him.

Ella loves to talk on the phone. She picks up a phone (any phone, real or not), walks around the house talking away to one of her cousins.  When she does call her cousins for real...she gets shy and turns quiet.
We love this little girl and her STRONG will! We are having so much fun seeing the world through her eyes.  Everything is new and exciting and it makes you appreciate the little things in life...like the garbage truck.

So sweet! She is beautiful! I like the word for cheerios - you have to video tape that one before it disappears!
