Thanksgiving

It was soooo nice this year to have the whole week of Thanksgiving off, it was much needed! Cooper and Ella's school had a Thanksgiving feast that was adorable.  They all got to pick whether they wished to be Pilgrims or Indians.   I ended up with two very cute Pilgrims.

One afternoon we met some family at a park to launch rockets.  I have no idea how Coop and I ended up being the only two who got their picture taken.
We did a lot of just hanging out.
Ella learned how to draw her first reindeer.

We decorated for Christmas.

I wrapped 48 Christmas and Winter books for Ella and Cooper's Christmas countdown.  I may just be CRAZY! They each open one book a night to Christmas is here.  It has become a fun tradition of opening and reading two Christmas stories a night. After the holidays are over I pack up the books to do the same next year. This was the first year Coop got his own books to open each night, which sounded like a great idea until I had to wrap them all. Oh the things I get myself into!

I will let Benji tell you about this...
If you don't know I am a Minnesota Vikings fan. I had never seen a game in the Metrodome and they are blowing it up in February. I looked over their schedule in October and realized that they were playing the Philadelphia Eagles in December. The significance of this is that Marshall's (my brother) favorite team are the Eagles. So we went to our wives and asked if it would be okay to head to Minnesota for an extended weekend to see the Vikings play the Eagles in Minneapolis. They said yes and we made the plans in about 20 minutes after we got the green light.

To say it was just cold would be an understatement. On the day of the game we walked to the stadium and it was 0' outside and a windchill in the -20's. That was cold. I think I could have handled the 0' part but the wind was just bitter. We fully enjoyed the game, me more than him as my Vikings whooped up on them. It was very fun and now I can say I went to the Metrodome and my brother and I had a great weekend. Ella sat at home and watched the game on TV and kept saying "I see daddy, he's the one in purple." RIGHT SHE WAS!
