The First Day of...

Kindergarten and preschool.  

These two were so excited to go back to school.  Ella has been talking about going to Hunter Elementary for over two years now.  Every time we drive by she asks, "When do I get to go to Hunter?" Well, today was the day and she was ready to go! 

I know every mom says this....but how did my little Ella Bug become a Kindergartner? Time has gone by so fast.

Since I was way more nervous than Ella, I took the morning off of work to take her to school.  We decided to park at my parent's house (they live very close to Hunter) and walk.  I was in good company! I think there may have been more parents on the play ground than students.

For 14 years I have been on the other side of the first day of school, the one in charge and knowing everything is going to be alright.  It was strange, emotional, scary and exciting to be on the parent side of drop off.

Ella was as cool as could be and was more than ready to say good bye to her mom and grandma.

I am so proud of my little/big kindergartner! She LOVES school and is always sharing something she has learned from Mrs. Frasier.   This girl is like a sponge and is soaking everything up! Oh, and I have a reader!!!!!!!
