Birthday Fun

I truly had the most enjoyable birthday this year.  I was not all that excited about turning 40, but if the love and friendship I experienced on my birthday is any indication of what is to come in my 40's....bring it on! 

 We spent the day as a family at Camel's Back Park and walking to Goodies for ice-cream.  

 It was hot out and Cooper was making us laugh on the walk to Goodies.  He would run to a shady spot and lay down on the sidewalk for a rest.  

When we got home the kids (with some help) cleaned up the yard.  Ella counted the forks...220!

 Then a babysitter showed up and Benji and I went out to dinner with the neighbors.  

 The next day, Sunday, my doorbell rang and my school friends were at the door to pick me up. They had planned, with Benji's help, to take me out to dinner as a surprise.
