Benji was adamant we needed to head to the mountains to witness 100% totality. So we packed up for the weekend and headed to Sun Valley to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa.
These two love going for walks with Gracie! Cooper loves dogs and it is fun for him to pretend like he has one for a day or two. Perfect situation!

Benji, Ella and Cooper went to the Huey Lewis and the News concert. He was fantastic.
Poor Cooper got a stomach bug the night before the eclipse and struggled for a few days. Cooper, Addie, Grandpa and I stayed by the condo to view the eclipse and Ella, Grandma and Benji headed up the hill to have a full view.
I am so glad Coop could make it out for some of it, even though he was not feeling the best!

I was not a believer that we needed to leave town to really enjoy the eclipse. But I have to say, it was cool and I am glad we took the day off of work to enjoy it together.
After the eclipse we headed home right away. We were a little nervous about the traffic but it did not take us one minute longer than normal.
