Summer Trip......Day 2

We stayed in Kellogg for a few days, and on day one, we took the "longest Gondola in North America" up to the top of the Silver Mountain ski area. It is a 3.1-mile ride up, and it passes over the small town of Wardner, Idaho. Some of the residents even have huge poles in their backyards that hold up the gondola. Once at the top, we wandered around and then rode a chairlift DOWN to a place where we could go hiking. It was stunning.

The second half of the day was spent at a waterpark that was part of our hotel. This was a great retreat for everyone. The kids loved it as it was not busy and had zero lines on the few big rides. The biggest attraction however was the surf pool. This was great and all three jumped in pretty quickly and took to it faster than expected.
