Grandma Go-Go gave all of us a present that we were not expecting. Something happened after she died, and a bit of money was not accounted for, and around December all three kids were given an amazing surprise. After discussing it, all three families decided to take a trip in Pam's honor. So began the plans to get a big boat and sail the British Virgin Islands. Marshall and Ashley's family had done it a few years back, and now that our kids were older, we could do it with them. So we chartered a boat, made the plans, and headed to the BVI's in June once Benji was off work. Everyone was so excited, and it took a ton of planning, but we did it and had the most amazing time together for 11 days, 8 days on the water. We bounced from island to island, had an amazing time, and made so many memories. It is exactly what Pam would have wanted.
The trip started with all of us meeting in DC and flying down to the US Virgin Islands and staying one night there. We then loaded up and took a ferry to the British Virgin Islands and to the dock to get on the boat. After one night on the boat, docked, we took off on our adventure.
The islands below are some highlights that we moored for the night or visited for the day:
Norman Island
Peter Island
Cooper Island
The Baths at Spanish Town
Scrub Island
Marina Cay
Jost Van Dyke
These pictures are all out of order, but between the two posts, you will see the fun we all had together!
