I know that some of you have been wondering what is going on so here is a quick update.
Ella's blood sugar levels have been going up and down and finally yesterday they normalized. She was having some problems with apnea but is now on Caffeine and a heartburn medicine to fix that. I can't fathom that my little baby has heartburn, shouldn't be allowed!!!
So we have spent the majority of the past 2 days in the NICU by her side. Michelle has been there for almost every feeding (every 3 hours), during the day. At night we went home and TRIED to get a few good nights of sleep......easier said then done!
This morning (Wed.) we got up and went to the hospital around 8:30 and as we went around the corner our nurse, Sue, had taken all of the monitors off of her and told us to "get her dressed....you are all going home"! We were so happy, as we had heard this everyday this week that we may get to go home today, but this one was for real! All morning both of us did not want to get our hopes up as we had been disappointed the last 2 days with "we want to watch her one more night".
We are so thankful that she was in the care of such great Doctors and Nurses. I knew that my sister worked at a great hospital but when you are in this position nothing is better than great nurses! We are happy she got the care she needed but is now home with us.
Michelle and Ella are sleeping on the couch right now and I can't think of anything more perfect to watch. We love all of you for the support you have given us and we look forward to having you meet our precious Ella.

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
Welcome home Ella! Josh had heartburn for the first little while as well. So sad to watch them suffer. She is so very sweet.
