Ella is six months old.....

And Summer is going way too fast!

Ella had her 6 month appointment last week and everything is going well. She weighed in at 15.2 lbs, and 26 inches long. The best news of all was that at her next appointment, 9 months, no shots. Yea!

Ella rolled over this week from her back to her tummy. We were very proud parents....but we missed it. Ella was playing on the floor in her room, Benji was right there"playing" with her, but he closed his eyes for a brief catnap, and I was not even 2 feet away cleaning out her closet. How could both parents be right their and miss it? We asked the same question.

The next day Benji got to see her roll from her back, to her tummy, back to her back. All in determination for a toy. I am thinking she is going to show off for her mom any day now.

I don't have any pictures, but we bought Ella a little pool to play in. She loves it! We put her bath chair in the pool and she sits their and kicks and splashed. We have also found a love for it, being over 95 everyday, all three of us can be found in the kiddie pool.

This is Benji's foot! The picture was taken before most of the foot started to bruise. He would be lucky if his foot looked this good. A week ago he slipped off the front edge of the last stair and landed wrong on his foot and each day it has looked a little worse. He finally surrendered and went to the doctor on Thursday. He said to stay off of it, ice it, and write the ABC's in the air with it and come back in a week if it does not look any better. Well, he has followed some of the advice.....writing the ABC's. Yesterday he mowed the lawn. I tried to talk him into letting me mow it...but it was diagonal week and I am not to be trusted. Today he is floating down the river with some friends and I would not be surprised if he thinks playing golf tomorrow would be a good idea.
This week we are off to McCall on Wednesday and then to Washington later in the week. This will be are first road trip with Ella...wish us luck.
