One of Pam's friends gave us an angel advent calendar that she had made their children years ago. It is one of my favorite christmas things. This year I put red paper in each pocket and each paper had a Christmas activity on it for us to do. We wrote letters to Santa and mailed them. Santa even wrote letters back to Ella and Cooper.
We did craft projects. Well, Ella and I did. Cooper is not all that into crafts right now.
Addison wore a few Christmas outfits.
Ella spent two afternoons with Benji at Capital practicing for the Christmas concert....Do you want to build a snowman?
She was fantastic and confident during the practices but got a little stage fright the day of.
We wrapped presents
We looked for our elf, Oodle, every morning.
Ella's kindergarden class sang christmas songs for all us waiting parents.
We had the neighbors over for a Polar Express breakfast and a showing of the movie.
Our neighborhood businesses have a annual Christmas celebration for the neighborhood kids. This year Marshall, Aidan and Lily joined us. We met Dasher, spoke with Mrs. Claus,
went "ice fishing,"
did a craft,
took funny pictures,
(LOL)
did a photo shoot with miniature horses,
wrote christmas cards for troops serving over seas,
did some face painting,
and these two got their hair chalked.
I enjoyed this December and the extra time I got to spend at home. Ella and Cooper are at a fun age where everything is exciting and fun of Christmas magic. Some of the things I don't have pictures for: Ella went to see the Nut Cracker with Aidan and Lily, we spent a few evenings getting hot chocolate and looking at Christmas lights, reading a lot of christmas books (two every night of December), and Ella and Cooper christmas shopping for each other.
