First Grade Celebration

So Ella had a fabulous teacher this year, no really, we can not say enough great things about her! She even had all of her students and their families over to her house for an end of the year celebration with a carnival theme.  I wish I had a picture of the invitation, but super cute, it came home inside of a popcorn bag! The kids had been earning "money" at school to spend at the carnival and Mrs parker made sure all of the siblings had plenty to spend as well.
The first graders entered her backyard on a red carpet, with their very own star on the side.
There was way too much candy, popcorn, snow cones, pizza and watermelon to go around!
I brought my mom for support.  This night fell on the some night as Boise High's graduation so we were missing dad.

At the end of the night she had all the students sit in front of this tent.  She called them up one at a time and they all said this very cute chant and she popped a balloon full of confetti over their heads.  It was very cute!

Mrs. Parker is wearing sunglasses to hide her tears!

She made these cool pictures for each student.  Ella proudly hangs this in her room.  I think Ella will always have a special spot in her heart for Mrs. Parker, she just loves her.  She spent the first few weeks of summer telling me how much she misses her.  That is just what I wanted for her first grade year! We are all very thankful for Mrs. Parker!
