Well, she talked us into staying home from school on her birthday. To be fair, it was a day off (MLK day) but then with all the snow days it became a school day. Benji and I had it off so the whole family stayed home and celebrated.
Requested every year, birthday pancakes
It was cold! Ella requested to go iceskating, so we did. We made it 30 minutes and talked them into getting off the ice with a stop at the candy shop. Brr!
The night before we went to visit Lily to wish her a happy birthday and give her a birthday gift of matching pajamas and doll outfits.
Going to bed a seven year old and waking up a eight year old. I cannot even believe it!
Look at these two young souls, what a difference eight years make....for the better!
That evening Grandma and Grandpa came over for dinner (homemade pizza) and to open presents.
We we had ice cream sundaes for dessert.
