This is a big one (post)! We spent over a week in Sun Valley and like always, loved every minute of it! We had a lot of fun!
I love the evenings up there, they are beautiful!
Fourth of July morning
While doing Addie's hair, after breakfast, Benji found a bite on her neck. After looking up what it might be, we were afraid it might be a tic bite. While in town, later that morning, I asked a paramedic (the random things a mother will ask a stranger for their children) what he thought about it. Of course, he told me we should just go and get it checked out. The only option on the 4th of July was the ER, not my most favorite option! We went, they ended up treating her in the waiting room (they were so busy they did not have a room), and we were out the door in 30 minutes. Win! The picture looks better than it did in person, but I'm sure they still laughed at us for bringing her in. I think I have read one too many crazy freak stories on facebook. Two weeks later we received the bill and they did not even charge us for an ER visit!
After the ER visit, we headed to the lodge for some fun.
That evening we went back to watch the fireworks.
Cooper got a mosquito bite on the eye lid. It did not seem to slow him down too much, except when we gave him Benadryl and he took a two hour nap.
One morning we went to a fishing event for kids. Everything was free and available to the kids, from the pole and bait to the cleaning and preparing to eat....we did not catch anything.
After fishing we went out for lunch. Addie was very excited about what she ordered. This look is the "don't touch my food" look.
One evening we just walked around the lodge and got ice cream.
The flowers are my favorite, they are beautiful!
On the way home, we stopped to take some pictures at the same spot we took pictures in January. Seasons do change!
We also went horse backriding at Galena. It was Ella and Cooper's first time on a horse and they were so excited! Addie went to have lunch and ice cream with Grandma and Grandpa.
The view was amazing!
Ella and Cooper were both sad to leave their horses behind.
Another great vacation in the books and it ended with tradition. We always stop for milkshakes on the way out of town. The kids would not let us forget about stopping!
