Stay at Home!!!! March!

Well, March 16th arrived and our lives, along with everyone else, turned upside down and inside out. We were, overnight, all staying home. We had to navigate a new adventure of working from home and doing school work from home. Benji and I did not skip a beat and started working from home day one.  One virtual meeting after another! The kids had a few weeks of "Mom School" before they received any work from their teachers.
They started off by building leprechaun traps for St Patrick's Day.
They always have so much fun doing this all together.
This year they did not trap a leprechaun, but they must have come close because he left behind a scavenger hunt with some treasures at the end.
This is them running through the house finding the clues.

They found the pot of gold in the garage!

They spent the morning making shamrocks for the front office window.  Our neighborhood did this so families could go for a walk and find the shamrocks.
Good thing I planned ahead for this ice cream tradition!
These three were both blessed and cursed having teachers for parents.  They may have been out of school, but they kept learning!

P.E. with Dad.
Addie and her daily drawings.

We also had Spring Break the last week in March.  It was a weird one!  We spent the whole week at home, hanging out, and doing some home projects. Benji kept working like crazy having daily meetings, getting everything in place for what was to come after the break.

He had enough time to clean out the whole garage and go through all the storage tubs.  This felt so good to get this done.  It will feel even better when we can pack it up and donate it! This Halloween costume made by Pam is a keeper!

We have gone on many walks and enjoyed watching winter turn into spring.
I would have loved a trip to the spa, but instead I did everyone's toes.

Now I just need someone to do mine!

Addie learned to ride a bike!
We have gone on daily bike rides.  She is doing so well!

When the weather is not nice (which thankfully has not been often) we did some Frozen (you act out the whole movie in 30 minutes) yoga.

I love it when we catch him reading after we have turned out lights and said goodnight.
We have played a ton of games.
They have all been very goofy and full of silliness.
And, the best part, they have played and played with each other.  They can't run out the door and play with friends, they are just stuck with each other.  It has been fun to watch!!!
Also, lots of time for music!

Ella started her ballet lessons on Zoom. She misses the social part of ballet a lot but is getting through the lesson and sticking with it.

I love what kids come up with when they get bored! This is Ella trying to walk around the house while looking through binoculars.  Addie is being her guide.
