The start of June Fun

Let Summer Begin........for most of us.

Benji had to work until the middle of the month but we still snuck away for a mom and dad trip to the Gorge to see Brandi Carlile, Joni Mitchell and the High Women. Three amazing nights of music in what Benji calls his "happy place".

This was the first night we were there and we snuck over to the cliff to watch sound check for the weekend. It was a great sneak peak.

Night one.....Brandi Carlile with opener Marcus Mumford

These were our seats the first night but Benji couldn't handle it

So he went online and found open seats on Ticketmaster and we moved. He could then relax and enjoy.

Day two brought sunshine. ALSO, with the place we stay we have access to all of the amenities of the hotel. The hotel was full of all of the performers, so we had breakfast with Sarah McLachlan, Mandy Moore and her husband (he is a musician with Joni) and others that we didn't know but saw them on stage later. We also got to use the pool and were swimming with some of those famous people. So much fun.

Night Two. It was awesome. Joni Mitchell and company was amazing. We even got to hear Annie Lennox and more amazing artists that decided to come and join Joni. There were famous people in the crowd as well, as this was the first time Joni had been on stage in many, many years.

The seats for this night were the best! Brandi opened which was a bonus.

This is the view from our patio. The Gorge Amphitheater is just over the trees on the right side.

We had so much fun and went on walks all over.

Night Three. This was the High Women which is a group of 4 very famous women singers. Perfect way to end the entire weekend.

Tanya Tucker opened this night. Another bonus.

Benji always likes to sit and wait until they kick you out on the last night.
It is his happy place and he needs every moment he can get.

If your were wondering.....The kids were at Uncle Marshall's and Aunt Tabatha's all weekend. They had an amazing time and played hard. We so appreciate them taking the kids for that many days, and our kids just love being there.
